in the late 1980's, the band kilslug had a violent breakup in which larry said he beat up 2 of the members (big daddy and mongoloid). larry,cheez,and scott(shoehorn) formed upsidedown cross. they got ex-kilslug member rico pertoleum to join, for the sole purpose of using him as a "go between" with taang records. according to larry, the owner of taang thought they were too insane to deal with, and would only sign upsidedown cross if rico was involved. shortly after the 1st record was done, rico got kicked out. drummer j mascis from dinosaur jr./deep wound filled in on drums on the first record. for the rest of the 90's, they had tons of different lineups,as well as a couple more releases. seth joined the band in 1999 on guitar. things have been going slowly for the band, and not much has gotten accomplished, due to various reasons. when seth left boston to move to texas, ex anal cunt guitarist josh martin took his place. now that seth is back, seth and josh are the 2 guitarists. seth,josh,and larry are also in a new band called adolf satan, and currently have shows lined up. eventually, upsidedown cross will do something again. note: on the upsidedown cross/sloth split 7", seth DOESN'T play guitar on it. it's from an old recording, and cheez decided to put the (at the time) current lineup on the record. |
